School Age

We run free fun programmes and classes for children through the school term for ages 5 to 16.

Our school age after school classes focus on building S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) skills, vital for a digital generation of kids.

Our afterschool activities run through term time only and are Free!!

Fiero Code Club Code Club Blue

Where: Waipawa Library

When: Tuesday's 3.30-4.30pm

Want to learn how to code, but not sure where to start?

Fiero Code is a learn-to-code software program available through our libraries. 

Fiero Code is designed for ages 8-18.  Fiero Code teaches you how to code through engaging projects and tutorials.

You’ll learn several coding languages that you can use to build websites, video games, apps, and more.

Languages include:

  • HTML
  • Python
  • JavaScript

Spaces are limited so registration required.

Maker Space CraftCrafternoon Green

Where: Waipawa Library

When: Thursday's 3.30-4.30pm

Join us each Thursday afterschool and bring your creative hats and have fun creating in our maker space.

No registration required just pop on in and join us.

DigiPlayDigiPlay Pink

Where: Knowledge & Learning Hub, Te Huinga Wai, Waipukurau

When: Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm

Join us for an hour of all things digital.  Activities include Playstation, Hexbugs and More

No registration required just pop on in.

DecoupageDecoupage Orange

Where: Knowledge & Learning Hub, Te Huinga Wai, Waipukurau

When: Thursday's 3.30-4.30pm

Join us for an hour of Decoupage.  Decoupage is a craft that involves gluing coloured paper cutouts onto an item to create a decorative effect. 

No registration required, just pop on in.
