Waipukurau Digital Business Hub

The Regional Business Hub building programme has been delayed by COVID 19. This is being assessed and we expect to be able to provide a new opening date soon.

The Waipukurau Digital Business Hub is your ‘go to’ for all things digital and much more.

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council is excited to provide a space that offers digital services and programmes for the entire community, in one location.

This project is possible thanks to funding from the Provincial Growth Fund - and will plug a gap in digital facilities for our District.

Waipukurau Library will also be housed in this building for at least the next five years.

The Hub builds on work already underway through Council’s Economic Development Action Plan, Central Hawke’s Bay’s Integrated Spatial Plan 2050 and the Libraries Strategic Framework.

It will offer digital access to businesses, self-employed people and the wider Central Hawke’s Bay community.

Designs for the building (pictured) have been developed in conjunction with key local stakeholders.

Upgrades will see the installation of new meeting rooms, interior toilets and interior fit out; including the reuse of carpet, shelving and other fixtures from the current Waipukurau Library in Kitchener Street.

New joinery to the front of the building, signage and an accessible entrance way will also be added.

What will you be able to find at the new Digital Hub?

  • Waipukurau Library - including workshops and other offerings ie: Justice of the Peace Services; School Holiday Programmes; Digital Talk - support and advice; Digital Banking – education; Composting Workshops; Knit ‘n’ Natter sessions and more.
  • AA Services – Learner licence testing, bookings for restricted/ full licences and car registrations.
  • FREE WI-FI services.
  • Shared working spaces.
  • Digital products and services.
