Preserve Your Past

Preserve Your Past gives our community an opportunity to preserve and digitise their memories. 

We have digitisation equipment in our Waipawa Library to help our communities preserve and share their heritage. 

We can assist you to digitise your heritage images, documents, oral messages/conversations, family photos and more. 

At the Waipawa Library we offering 2x 1 Hour Slots on a Monday where you can book in and we can assist you to digitise your heritage. 

These time will be 10am-11am and 11am-12pm.

The equipment we use is designed to be SUPER user-friendly. Anyone can learn to use it!

Recollect

Recollect provides easy online access to a rich store of heritage material relating to Central Hawke's Bay, its people and events

It provides the ability to view all types of content such as heritage photos, documents, maps and related ephemera reflecting the district’s past, all within one platform.

Share your content with your community, whether it be old family photos or valuable documents, allow others to access your history.

Together we can grow this collection to connect our shared heritage. We encourage you to explore, to comment, and to share your stories.
